AIEEE 2010 BTech
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducts the All India engineering/architecture entrance examination for admission to various undergraduate
courses in engineering and architecture all over India.
Scheme of the examination:
The examination will be comprised of two papers—1st paper and 2nd paper. The 1st
Paper will include the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with objective
type questions of equal weightage. The 2nd paper will consist of Mathematics, Aptitude test and Drawing. The 1st paper is for BE/BTech courses while the 2nd paper is for B.Planning and B.Architecture courses. The questions will be of objective type with four options having one correct option amongst them. There is negative marking for wrong answers which will be 1/4th of the total marks of the question. Specially designed machine gradable answer sheets will be provided to the examinees.
The schedule of the examination is as follows:
• Paper 1 –25th April, 2010. This paper will comprise questions from the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. This exam will be of three hours duration from 9.30 a.m. to 12.30 a.m.
• Paper 2 –25th April, 2010. This paper will comprise questions from the subjects of Mathematics-part 1, Aptitude test-part 2 and Drawing test- part 3. This exam will be of three hours duration from 2.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m.
Some important points:
• You can appear in the examination in two mediums—English and Hindi.
• The minimum eligibility criteria: a pass in the final examination of 10+2 (Class XII) or its equivalent. 10+2 appearing students are also allowed to take the entrance test.
• Subject combinations to appear in BE/BTech: Physics and Mathematics compulsory; anyone among Chemistry, Computer Science, Biology and Biotechnology.
• Subject combinations to appear in B.ARCH/B. PLANNING: Mathematics with 50% marks in aggregate at 10+2 level is Compulsory.
