Dr.D.Y.Patil Institute All India Entrance Test 2010 MBBS BDS



Dr. D.Y. Patil Medical College was founded way back in the year 1989. The Medical College was originally affiliated to the Mumbai University and Nashik’s Maharashtra University of Health Sciences. But later it was made a part of the later University.

One can go for both MBBS and various Post Graduate studies in the Dr. D.Y. Patil Medical College. Altogether a mammoth total of twenty departments are there in the Medical College. Those departments are namely Departments of Pharmacology, Physiology, Ophthalmology, Biochemistry, Forensic Medicine, Microbiology, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Pathology, Chest and TB, Community Medicine, Psychiatry, Surgery, Medicine, Orthopaedics, Paediatrics, Radiodiagnosis, Anatomy, ENT, Anaesthesiology and Skin and VD.

Dr. D.Y. Patil Medical College conducts an entrance test to admit students to its various undergraduate courses. The test has been termed as All India Entrance Test or AIET. Successful candidates get admitted to the following courses:

  1. Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S.)
  2. Bachelor of Physiotherapy (B.P.T.)
  3. Bachelor of Dental Surgery (B.D.S.) and
  4. Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (B.A.M.S.)

The requirements to appear in the AIET:

  1. Only Indian nationals will be allowed for the test.
  2. The minimum age limit is 17.
  3. The candidate must have passed the 10+2 examinations from a recognized institution under a recognized board. The minimum qualifying percentage is 50% aggregate in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology. English should be a subject in the 10+2. The minimum required percentage is 40% in case of backward students.
  4. Students awaiting the final results of 10+2 are also eligible to apply.
