The All India Post Graduate Dental Entrance Test or the AIPGDET is conducted by the DY Patil University, Pune for entry into various post graduate dental courses. All the courses were approved by the Dental Council of India and the Government of New Delhi.

The candidate is required to possess a BDS degree from a recognized university or institute for eligibility. Selection into the courses will be based on entrance exam and personal interview.

The test will be conducted for 90 minutes and it will be in objective type questions. There will be no negative marking and the syllabus will be entire BDS portions.

Application forms can be downloaded from the official website for DY Patil University. Application forms can be obtained directly from the admission office or by post. Form fee will be Rs.1000/- for direct purchase and Rs.250/- additional fee should be paid if requested through post. Payment has to be made as demand draft for postal requisition and it should be obtained in favor of ‘The Registrar, Dr.D.Y. Patil University,’ payable at Pune.

Last date for submission of application forms without late fee was 11.12.2009 till 5.00 p.m. (Test fee Rs.2000/-) and with late fee it was 20.12.2009 till 5.00 p.m. (Test fee Rs.2500). Downloaded application forms should be submitted with a demand draft for Rs.3250/-

The exam was conducted on 3^rd January, 2010 and results were declared on 6^th March, 2010. Counseling for admission was conducted on 21^st March, 2010 and 23^rd March, 2010. Academic session starts from 5^th April, 2010. Last date for admission against vacancies would be 30^th May, 2010.
