AME Employment Avenues and Examination 2010



The job opportunities for Aircraft Maintenance Engineers and Aeronautical Engineers are very high and provided by the most reputed airlines namely Indian Airlines, Helicopter Corporation of India and flying clubs, the Air India, Pawan Hans and private airlines too. Aeronautical Engineers are also hired by Defense Research and Development Laboratories, National Aeronautical Lab, Hindustan Aeronautical Ltd., Civil Aviation Department, etc.

The trainee has to cross four levels to become Aircraft Maintenance Engineers in one year in National Carriers. DGCA provide them the license after which they get designated as Assistant Aircraft Engineers.

On the part of paying scales, those who are working as engineers in Government bodies like HAL or NAL are paid as per the government scales while those who go for private jobs get the scales decided by the top level management.

Associate Membership of the Aeronautical Society of India organizes associate membership tests. This test consists of two sections – A and B. Ministry of Education had recognized these two sections. Those who have cleared these two sections can apply for the post graduate studies in IITs or GATE. Those candidates who have cleared these two sections get entrance in the Engineering Council of London.

Examination Details:

The examination consists of three parts:
1.Studentship
2.Section A
3.Section B

Educational qualification for membership examination:

· The candidate should have passed class 10th.

· Those candidates who have cleared 12th class with Physics and Mathematics are also eligible.

· The candidates with Diploma can also apply for this examination.

· Those who have cleared Section A or having a degree of engineering can go for Section B.

· Section B covers the following subjects:

1. Propulsion

2. Aerodynamics

3. Structural mechanics

4. Production

5. Maintenance

6. Communication

7. Avionics

8. Navigation and Operation

    sir i want to know how to apply for airindia for ame trainee i completed my ame course and cleared paper1&2 of dgca licence examination.
