Office of the Registrar General under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt of India is inviting applications from eligible Indian candidates for filling up the post of Assistant Register General(Group-A, Gazetted, Non-Ministerial) on deputation basis.

The scale of pay for the post the in pre-revised pay is of Rs.12000-375-16500/- & that of revised pay is in the PB-3 of Rs.15600-39100/- with GP of Rs.7600/-. The number of post is 2.

Eligibility: The candidates must be officers of the Central/State Govts/UT/Universities/Recognised Research Institutions/Public Sector Undertakings/Semi-Govt/Statutory/Autonomous Organisations holding analogous posts on regular basis in the Dept or parent cadre. With regular service of 5 years in the post in the pay scale of Rs.10000-325-15200/-(pre-revised) or equal.

Educational qualifications & experiences:

a) M.A in Demography/M.A in Population Studies/Post Graduate Degree in Statistics/Maths (with Stats)/M.A in Operational Research (with Stats)/M.A in Economics (with Stats) of a reputed University.

b) Experience of 10 years in scheduling & performing sample surveys relating to Vital Stats/ Census & investigation of Demographic data.

Desirable: PhD in any of the above mentioned subjects & experience of 1 year in applying Demographic/Statistical Software packages.

The deputation period shall not be exceeding 3 years.

The maximum age limit for all the post is 56 years.
