BITSAT 2010



BITSAT is an online test which is purely computer based. The BITSAT test is used to select students for their admission into the various integrated first degree programmes in the BITS, Pilani.

BITS or Birla Institute of Technology and Science is a deemed University and situated in Pilani. It is an all India institution. There are three campuses of the BITS—at Goa, Hyderabad and Pilani. The above mentioned online test will be used to select students for all the three campuses of the BITS.

The integrated first degree programmes in the BITS Pilani campus are B.E. (Hons.), B.Pharm. (Hons.), M.Sc. (Hons.) and M.Sc. (Tech.).

The integrated first degree programmes in the BITS Goa campus are B.E. (Hons.), M.Sc. (Hons.) and M.Sc. (Tech.).

The integrated first degree programmes in the BITS Hyderabad campus are B.E. (Hons.), B.Pharm. (Hons.), M.Sc. (Hons.) and M.Sc. (Tech.).

To become eligible for these courses a candidate need to pass the 10+2 examination from a recognized institution or its equivalent. Moreover in the 10+2 level he or she must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with 80% aggregate marks in them and 60% marks in individual subjects. In addition to this English proficiency will be an added advantage. If you have appeared in the qualifying examination this year then you are eligible to apply too. But in case if you have passed the exam in 2008 or earlier then you are not eligible to apply.

The deadline to apply for BITSAT 2010 is 30th January, 2010. The tests will be conducted in between 10th May to 10th June, 2010. For further details you can visit the official website of the exam at http://www.bitsadmission.com
