Chairman, National Housing Bank



National Housing bank has invited applications to fill-up the post of Chairman. Applications have been invited from the candidates in the age group of 45 to 55.

 

The Chairman will have the executive responsibility for the institutional development and daily activities of the National Housing bank. It is expected from the Chairman that he will lead an inter-disciplinary team. Moreover he will be required to regularly interact with various State governments and the Central Government, various financial institutions, nationwide banks and various agencies of international importance and presence. The Chairman will be accountable to the Board of Directors.

 

For the selection purposes the applicants must possess the below mentioned skills:

·        Strong ability to influence the Government policy in the housing finance sector.

·        Good capacity to direct applied and basic research in the housing finance sector.

·        Innovative, management and leadership skills to build a strong team of workers.

·        Previous experience in the field of institutional development in the banking, financial, public sector undertaking or services sector.

 

Any kind of experience in the urban, housing and related fields will be an added advantage. The final appointment will be based in Delhi. Initially the contract will be for a period of five years.
