The Ministry of Agriculture is inviting application to fill up the post of Chief Engineer in Central Institute of Fisheries Nautical and Engineering Training (CIFNET).

The number of post is one of Chief Engineer in Grade-1 in the Pay Band Rs. 15600-39100/- and Grade Pay Rs. 6600/-. The post is to be filled up from the Officers under Central/State Government or Autonomous Institutions.

Eligibility:

· Applicants should be holding analogous posts.

· Should be with 5 years service in post in the scale of Pay Band Rs. 9300-34800/- plus Grade Pay Rs. 4800/- or equivalent.

· Matriculate from a recognized Board or equivalent.

· Certificate of competency of MOT or Certificate of competency as Engineer issued by the Mercantile Marine Department.

· Experience of 5 years in operation and maintenance on the engine side of Fishing Vessels.

It is to be noted that in case the candidate is otherwise well qualified or belongs to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, qualifications are relaxable.

The Departmental Officers who are in the direct line of promotion in the feeder category will not be considered eligible for appointment on deputation basis.
