COMEDK PGET 2010



COMEDK stands for Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka. This consortium has been set up by the Karnataka Private Medical & Dental Colleges Association. The COMEDK entrance test is used to select students for the various medical and dental courses conducted by member institutions of the Karnataka Private Medical & Dental Colleges Association.

The entrance test and the publication of the rank list every year is followed by a counselling system for the final round of selection. For various details regarding the COMEDK one can browse the official website at http://www.comedk.org

Three programmes of studies are available in the various medical institutions in the state of Karnataka. They are

  1. Post Graduate medical degree
  2. Post Graduate dental degree and
  3. Post Graduate medical diploma

If you are aiming to apply for the COMEDK then you need to fulfil the various requirements as proposed by the MCI or DCI. Moreover the candidates are expected to complete their M.B.B.S. / B.D.S. at the time of applying for the entrance examination. Moreover these degrees should be from an MCI/DCI recognized institution. The applicants are required to complete their internships too at the time of applying.

To become eligible for admission into the PG medical degrees under the participating institutions the candidates need to score at least 50%. This is relaxable by 10% in case of the candidates belonging to SC/ST or OBC from the state of Karnataka.

A huge array of courses is offered by the various member institutions for the convenience of the applying candidates.
