Controller of Explosives, Bureau of Civil Aviation Security
The Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) is inviting applications to fill up the 3 posts of Controller of Explosives on deputation basis. The details of the posts are:
The number of posts is 3 and the pay scale is PB-3 Rs.15600-39100/- with Grade Pay of Rs.6600/-.
Candidates must be:
a.) Officers of Police/Security Organizations of the Indian Government
b.) Officers of Para-Military Organizations of Indian Government; Holding analogous posts on regular basis with 5 years regular service in the scale of Rs.8000-13500 or equivalent or with regular service of 8 years in the scale of Rs.6000-10500 or equivalent.
c.) Serving Armed Forces Officers in the rank of Captain/Major or equivalent.
Qualifications required:
Essential: experience of handling Explosives, etc including experience of at least 3 years in the detection and defusing/demolition of unexploded armaments and explosive devices.
Desirable:
a.) Having done a relevant recognized advanced course, e.g. Bomb Disposal Course at the Military College of Engineering Pune
b.) Experience of serving in Anti-Terrorist Organizations such as Commandos, Special Protection Group, National Security Guard, etc.
c.) The period of deputation will be 3 years extendable by 3 years, if mutually agreed.
