CSIR ? NET 2009



Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) invites application from all the interested candidates pursue to get admission in Junior Research Fellowship and lectureship. The CSIR has been regarded as one of the best R&D institutions throughout India. It was setup in 1942 and since then it has collected some of the best research workers for the development of the country.

Eligibility criteria:

  • The candidate must have done M.Sc. from any of the recognized University.
  • The candidate must have obtained a minimum of 55% marks in the degree examinations.
  • The candidates currently in their final year are also eligible to apply lest they prove their course completion date in written.
  • The age requirement for JRF is between 19 to 28 years.
  • The minimum age required for LS is 19 years and there is no upper age limit for this course.

Important dates:

  • Sale of Application forms : 12th Aug, 2009 ? 4th Sep, 2009
  • Last date for the receipt of completely filled Application forms : 11th Sep, 2009
  • Date of commencement of examination : 21st Dec, 2008

Examination Pattern:

  • The exam will be divided in two parts.
  • Both the parts will be of 2 and a half hours duration each.
  • The first part will be of 200 marks.
  • The second part will be of 300 marks.
