CST CDAC 2009



Competence in Software Technology (CST) Examination is conducted by The Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC), Mumbai for the graduated from any field to take admission and pursue education in the field of software technology. The conduction of the examination includes many other bodies like Scientific R&D Institution of Govt. of India, Dept. of Information Technology, Ministry of Communications and information Technology.


Eligibility criteria:

  • The candidate must have obtained a Bachelor?s degree or diploma from a recognized University.
  • The candidates currently pursuing their graduation course are also eligible to apply lest they prove their course completion date in written.

Important Dates:

  • Last date for the receipt of completely filled A-1 application forms : Mid of Jan, 2009
  • Date of commencement of Entrance exam :? End of Jan, 2009
  • Last date for the receipt of completely filled A-1 application forms :End of Feb, 2009
  • Result declaration : 1st week of Mar, 2009
  • Commencement of PI : May, 2009

Levels and papers of the Examination:

  • Level E ? General Aptitude (GA) and Computer Concepts (CC)
  • Level I ? General Aptitude (GA), Computer Concepts (CC) and C Programming (CP)
  • Level D ? General Aptitude (GA), Computer Organization and Operating Systems (CO), C Programming (CP), Data Structures and Algorithms (DS)
  • Level G ? General Aptitude (GA), Computer Organisation and Operating Systems (CO), Data Structures and Algorithms (DS) along with any 2 of the following optional subjects namely Computer Networks, Database Management, Java Technology, Object Oriented Programming and C++, Software Engineering, Web Technology

Examination pattern:

  • The duration of the exam for each will be one hour.
  • The exam will consist of Multiple choice Type (MCQ) questions.
  • Negative marking scheme will be followed in the checking of the examination.
  • Every correct answer will be awarded 3 marks and every wrong answer will deduct 1 mark from the total score.

    This is Vikash Kumar from Haryana. I have given the CST CDAC 2009 exam for ‘E’ level this year and secured 77% score, I belongs to general category and also ward of ex-armyman, am I eligible to get admission through CST goa. If yes then which will be the best college to take admission.

    I am Amit feom bangalore. i appeared for CST-2009 ‘D’ LEVEL and scored 69 PERCENTILE. So is there any chances of getting a seat in BAGALORE or MUMBAI as there is a total of 340 seats.
