The Central University of Jharkhand invites candidates from all over India to join the 5 year integrated course offered by the university. The CUJ is a non affiliated University and its 2010-11 session of academics start from July 21^st 2010. The courses offered by the University are designed to meet the multidisciplinary requirements of the Choice-based Credit system (CBCS) spread over 10 semesters.

The CUJ offers an all-India flexibility of changing to any other Central University in the same stream, if the student has completed up to 6^th Semester. This option is offered subject to the availability of seats. This option is offered to the students from this year only.

Apart from the four courses since August 2009, namely, English, Business Administration, Mathematics and Mass Communications, additional courses on Nanotechnology, Physics, Chemistry, Water Engineering and Management, Life Sciences and Cultural Studies are planned to be added in the academic session 2010-2011.

Admission is based on the aggregate obtained in the 12^th standard. Candidates should have obtained 55% aggregate to gain eligibility. The SC, ST, OBC are given a grace of 5% marks in their aggregates. The sports personnel that represented at the state level or National level will be offered an extra 5% concession in their aggregates. The date of start of the next academics will be tentatively on the middle of July 2010. It will be posted in the official website when the dates are confirmed.
