DCE NSIT 2010 BE B.Tech



The Delhi University conducts the Delhi Combined Entrance examination for those who aspire to join courses like BE and B.Tech. There are two main colleges, the Delhi College of Engineering (DCE) and Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (NSIT) affiliated to the Delhi University which offers courses on merit basis only. 85% of admission is reserved to Delhi residents while 15% is offered to candidates of other states on the basis of AIEEE.

The candidates are required to possess 12th standard pass from a recognized school in Delhi and should have obtained 60% marks in PCM. For the SC/ST students the PCM aggregate should be 50%. For the defence personnel and physically handicapped rebate is offered and the PCM aggregate should be 55%. Regarding age the candidate should have completed 17 years of age by the 1st of October of the year the candidate is taking the exam.

The tentative date of entrance exam would be last week of May, 2010 and the application forms are distributed from the 2nd week of March, 2010. The completed application should reach the admission office by the 2nd week of April, 2010. Results will be declared around the 3rd week of July, 2010.

The exam will be conducted in MCQ pattern and the total duration would be 3 hours. Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics will be questioned in the exam. Each section will have 60 questions. Syllabus for the exam can be obtained from http://entrance-exam.net/dce-2009/
