Applications are invited for the post of Deputy Adviser (Fisheries) & Deputy Adviser (Consumer Industries) by Planning Commission on deputation basis (Transfer/Promotion). However, the tenure for the post of Deputy Adviser (Consumer Industries) will be up to 14/01/2013.

The pay scale will be in PB-3 of Rs.15600-39100/-with GP of Rs.7600/- and the number of vacancy for each post is 1.

1. For Deputation: The candidates must be regular officers holding analogous posts or with regular service of 5 years in posts in the pay scale of Rs.10000-325-15200/- (pre-revised) or equal of the Central/State Govts/UT Administrations/Universities/Reputed Research Institutes/Public Undertakings with below mentioned qualifications.

2. For Promotion: The candidates must be Senior Research officers in the Planning Commission along with regular service of 5 years in the grade including the below mentioned qualifications.

Essential qualifications: 1. Deputy Adviser (Fisheries): (a) Master’s Degree in Veterinary Science or Animal Husbandry or Fisheries or relevant field of a reputed University or equal. (b) Experience of 10 years in research/development/planning/execution of development projects/fisheries inland programmes/marine.

Desirable:

(a) Doctorate Degree in related field.

(b) Extensive work experience in the field mentioned above (b).

(c) Preparation experience of or techno-economic assessment of viability studies/comprehensive project reports.

2. Deputy Adviser (Consumer Industries): (a) Master’s Degree in Chemistry or Pharmacy / Master’s Degree in Chemistry or Leather or Textile or Sugar Technology or Engineering. (b) Knowledge of principles and policies of industrial licensing, foreign investment & collaboration, research & development in consumer industries.

(c) Knowledge of techno-economic assessment of viability studies/comprehensive project reports.

Period of deputation is 4 years and the maximum age limit is 56 years.
