Applications are invited for the post of Deputy Adviser (Power) in Planning Commission, Govt of India on Deputation/Transfer/Promotion basis.

The PB for the post is Rs.15600-39100/- with Rs.7600/- as GP. The number of post is 1.

Eligibility (Deputation): The candidates must be officers of Central or State Governments or Union Territories or universities or Administrations or Recognised Research Institutions or Public Undertakings holding analogous posts on regular basis along with the regular service of 5 years in the post in the pay scale of Rs.1000-325-15200/- (pre-revised)/equal.

Eligibility (Promotion): Regular service of 5 years in the post as Senior Research Officers in the Planning Commission.

Educational qualifications & Experiences:

(a) Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical or Post Graduate Degree of Engineering.

(b) Experience of 10 years in development or research or execution or planning in the work of power transmission or generation, development of utilities.

Desirable:

(a) Post Graduate Degree of Mechanical Engineering or Electrical/PhD Degree in pertinent subjects of Science like Chemistry or Physics or Mathematics from a reputed University/equal.

(b) Knowledge of long-term problems in financial & physical planning in the power generation’s work.

(c) Familiarity in electricity economics relating to forecasting of pricing & demand distribution.

(d) Experience in assessment of techno-economics, appraisal of programmes/projects/project reports’ detail.

The age limit is 56 years. The deputation period shall not be exceeding 4 years.
