The Ministry of Home Affairs has invited applications to fill up one position on deputation/promotion basis in its Department of Official Language by suitable Central Government officers. The name of the post is Deputy Director (Implementation) and the Pay Scale for the post will be Rs.10000-325-15200 (pre-revised).

The educational qualification required for the post is Masters Degree of a recognized University or equivalent in English/Hindi with Hindi/English as a subject at Degree level. The officers having at least one year experience in implementing the Official Language Act, 1963 (19 of 1963) or policy will be preferred more. The upper age limit for the position is 56 years.

Officers under the Central Government holding analogous posts on regular basis with three to eight years service in the different pay scales may also apply for the post. The Departmental Research Officer (Implementation) with eight years regular service in the grade will also be considered and if selected for appointment to the post, the same shall be deemed to have been filled by promotion.

The pay of the selected officer will be regulated in accordance with the Dept. of Personnel and Training O.M. No. 2/29/91-Estt. (Pay II) dated 05.01.1994 and O.M. No.2/8/97-Estt. (Pay II) dated 11.03.98 as amended from time to time. The period of deputation should ordinarily not exceed three years.
