The post graduate Medical/Dental Entrance test (DU PGMET) is the entrance examination for the entry to the post graduate course in Medical and Dental courses MD/MS/PG diploma and MDS in the University of Delhi. The Department of Medical Sciences of the University of Delhi, conduct this exam. It is conducted only in Delhi. It is much easier for the past students who passed MBBS/BDS from Delhi University to gain entry as there is a reservation available for them in the admission.

The post graduate courses were made available in four institutions in the University of Delhi and they are the Lady Harding Medical College, Maulana Azad Medical College,V.P. Chest Institute and University College of Medical Sciences. The competition is very high and a large number of students compete for the exam every year.

For the eligibility criteria, the candidate must possess an MBBS or BDS from a recognized institute for the MD/MS/PGD/MDS courses. Students can apply during their internship too.

The application forms will be made available by the Department of Medical faculty, Delhi University, in the month of December. The same can be obtained from the University through post by sending a request for application form along with a demand draft.

The applications will be available by hand during December 3rd week, 2009-January 3rd week, 2010 and by post during December 3rd week, 2009-January 1st week week, 2010. Last date for receipt of completed application forms would be around the 3rd week of January 2010. Date of examination would be around 2nd week of February 2010.
