Engineer-C (System Administrator), National Center for Biological Sciences



There are some vacancies in the National Center for Biological Sciences. National Center for Biological Sciences (NCBS) Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) is a premier research center under the aegis of Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India. The institute has invited applications from the eligible candidates to fill up one (SC) post of Engineer-C (System Administrator) at Bangalore.

The educational qualification required for the post is B.E./B.Tech/MCA or equivalent with first class. Moreover the applicants must have two years experience in Unix/Linux systems and network administration, familiarity with PC, hardware and internet uplinks, installation and upgradations of Open Source and commercial packages on servers and experience in security, academic computing, and computer labs. The candidates having experience in web backends, database administration and user support and large cluster installation management will be preferred more.

The Pay Scale for the position will be PB-3 of Rs.15600-39100 + 5400(GP). The upper age limit is 33 years. The Govt./ Semi Govt./Public Sector undertaking workers should apply through proper channel. The initial probation period for the selected candidate will be a period of one year and it may be extended depending upon the performance. The joining will be immediately.
