Federal Bank PO Exam 2009



Federal Bank invites applications from all the candidates who aspire to get recruited for the post form Probationary Officer in the Bank. The bank has been regarded as one of the most reputed banks in the country also the prestigious one. This time the bank will be conducting the exam in the Mid of March, 2009 for which the interested candidates can apply by visiting the official website of the Bank.


Eligibility Criteria:

  • The age of the candidate should be less than 26 years.
  • The candidate must be a Law graduate OR
  • Candidate must have completed Post Graduation in Science with minimum 60% marks OR
  • Post Graduation in Commerce/ Arts with minimum 55% marks OR
  • Graduation in Engineering/ Agriculture with minimum 60% marks OR
  • MBA with minimum 55% marks OR
  • MCA with minimum 55% marks OR
  • Chartered Accountancy from any recognized university or other institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of UGC Act, 1956.

Important Dates:

  • Commencement of online registration: Last week of January, 2008.
  • Last date of online registration: Mid of February, 2009.
  • Date of Entrance examination: Mid of March, 2009.

NOTE: Candidates may download the call letters from the website from March 10, 2008 onwards by entering their registration number and password.

Pay Scale:

  • Candidates offered Probationary Officer (Scale I) cadre posts will be in the pay scale of Rs.10000 - 470/6 ? 12820 ? 500/3 ? 14320 ? 560/7 - 18240.

Selection Criteria:

  • All the candidates must appear in written test.
  • The candidates will be short-listed on the basis of the merit obtained by them in the written test.
  • The short-listed candidates will be then called for Personal Interview.
  • The final selection list will be declared after the commencement of the PI completes.

Details of Examination:

  • All the questions in the examination will be of Multiple Choice Type (MCQ)
  • The questions will cover the topics like:
  1. General and Financial Awareness
  2. English Language
  3. Quantitative Aptitude
  4. Reasoning
  5. Computer Knowledge and Aptitude
  6. Marketing Aptitude
