Indian Air Force invites all the Indian male candidates who aspire to become as Airmen Musician Trade of IAF. The candidates undergoing this course will be given additional opportunities to become a Commissioned Officer in the Armed Forces. The IAF Musician trade is approved by Government of India and candidate can apply through the advertisement which is published in all the leading newspapers.

Eligibility Criteria:

1. The age of the candidate must be greater than 17years and less than 33 years.
2. The candidate must possess the ability to read and write English
3. The candidate must have cleared 10+2 from a recognized board.
4. The candidate must also possess an elementary knowledge of Arithmetic.
5. The candidate must be able to play any of the following instruments:

• Trumpet
• Bass
• Violin
• Saxophone
• Clarinet
• Euphonium
• Jazz Drum
• Piccolo
• Bass Trombone
• Key Board

Physical Requirements:

• The minimum height allowable of the candidate is 167 cm.
• The minimum expanded chest of the candidate must be of 75cm.
• The minimum range of the expansion of the chest must be 5cm.
• The candidate must possess a vision of at least 6/12 in each eye with glasses or 6/6 in one eye and 6/36 in other eye with glasses.
• The candidate should be free from all types of communicable diseases.

Selection Criteria:

• All the eligible candidates have to go through the selection test.
• The IAF department conducts English, Intelligence and General Awareness test in which all the candidates have to appear.
• After this, the candidates have to appear in Interview and Personality Test.
• At last, after the successful completion of the above test modules, the candidates have to go through Medical Test.
