IHM Meerut 2010 Hotel Management



Institute of Hotel Management conducts an entrance process for giving admission to its undergraduate hotel management courses. Joint Entrance exam of National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT) is organized for fixing the criteria for granting admission. After clearing this test, one has to face an interview.

Institute of Hotel Management was established in 1987 and at present, it is one of the reputed institutios for Hotel Management courses.The institute is highly modernized and those who cleared their hotel management courses from this institutes get the job in the leading hotels like Oberoi Group of Hotels, ITC welcome groups, Taj Group of Hotels, etc.

Eligibility Criteria:

  1. The candidates should have passed 10+2 examinations having English as a compulsory subject.
  2. The candidates appearing in 12th class can also apply.
  3. The candidates should also not cross the age of 22 years (25 years for SC/ST) on 1st July 2010.

Availability of Applicatio Form:

    • The candidate can get the application form from the institute.
    • The candidate can also download the application form from the official website www.ihmeerut.com.

Significant Dates:

  • Last date for the submission of applcation form: 14th April 2010.

Admission Process:

    1. The candidates are shortlisted on the basis of merit obtained in NCHMCT.
    2. The selected candidates are called for an interview.

Paper pattern of NCHMCT:

      • Paper will be of multiple choice type.
      • Total 200 questions are to be attempted.
      • Time duration for complete paper is 3 hours.
      • Subjects covered:

Numerical Ability and Scientific Aptitude-30 questions
Reasoning and Logical Deduction-30 questions
General Knowledge & Current Affairs-30 questions
English Language-80 questions
Aptitude for Service Sector-30 questions

      • Negative marking of half marks for every wrong answer except Aptitude for Service sector.
