IIT Madras allows the candidates to go for Post Graduate Program for Executives for Visionary Leadership in Manufacturing (PGPEX-VLM). The candidates have to clear entrance exams conducted by IIT Kanpur, IIM Calcutta and IIT Madras collectively.

IIT Madras was established in 1959 with cooperation from German Government. It is one of the leading institutes for engineering.

The national Manufacturing Competitiveness Council (NMCC) constituted by Indian Government organized VLM. This 1 year course of only 30-35 seats assists the candidate to boost up their leadership and management skills.

Eligibility Criteria:

The candidate should have engineering degree of any reputed institute. The candidate should have 5years’ work experience and not more than 10 years except for sponsored categories.

· The application form can be received from VLMP office, IIT Madras.

· Candidates can download the form from the website www.vlm.iitm,ac,in.

Significant Dates:

· Availability of Application Form: 4^th week of November – 3^rd week of December, 2009.

· Last date for submission of application form: 3^rd week of December, 2009.

· Date of Entrance test: 3^rd week of January, 2010.

Note: The admission process for this year has been closed.

Admission Process:

Past academic records, work experience, entrance test and a personal interview are considered while giving admission to any candidate. Only those candidates who clarify the written test have to face an interview.
