Indian Institute of Technology Rourkee, one of the premier technology institutes of Technology at both the graduate and undergraduate levels in India and also one of the oldest (established in 1847 as Thomason College of Engineering). After India attained independent status in 1947, it was renamed as University of Rourkee. Ultimately in the year 2001, it got commissioned as IIT Rourkee.

Admission Eligibility Criteria

- Applicants having a CGPA of 6 or those who have scored a minimum of 60% in a Master’s degree in Management degree in the respective discipline, Sciences, Urban & Rural Planning/Technology/Engineering, Architecture, and Humanities & Social Sciences are eligible to appear for the examination.

- Applicants having a minimum GATE percentage of 75 along with a CGPA of 7 or a minimum of 70% in their B.Arch. or B.Tech. Degree or NET (JRF/LS) qualification which is conducted by UGC/CSIR for Science/ Humanities & Social Sciences can also apply for it.

- IIT Graduates or those from University of Rourkee with a CGPA of minimum 8 are also considered eligible.
