The Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University is established by the Govt of NCT of Delhi under the provisions of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University Act and it is located at the Kashmere Gate. It is accredited A Grade by the NAAC. The institute promotes studies, research and extension work in emerging areas of higher education with concentration in the disciplines of engineering, management studies, medicine, nursing, pharmacy, law, etc.

Candidates who have appeared in the CET exam (conducted by the IP University) are eligible for counseling. The admission brochures for the session 2010-2011 are on sale in selected branches of Punjab and Sind Bank.

For the Professional programs (Brochure I) and for the Engineering and B.Arch programs (Brochure II) the last date for submission of application form is 21^st April, 2010. For the MBBS program (Brochure III) also it is on 21^st April, 2010 and for the PGMC program (Brochure IV) the last date is 26^thApril, 2010. For the SSMC program (Brochure IV) the last date is 8^th June, 2010. The exam dates vary for different courses at different times and it is held between April to June at various dates.

The IPU offers Super Specialty Medical Courses like DM (Cardiology), M.Ch (CTVS), M.Ch (Plastic Surgery) and other courses like the Master of Mass Media, B.Tech and M.Tech (Bio-Technology), LLM, MA (English and Communication Studies), BBA, B and I, T and TM, CAM, MOM, IH, BJ (MC), MBA, MCA, B.Pharma, B.Pharma-LE, M.Sc (EM), BBA (LLB)/BA (LLB), M.Ed, B.Ed and B.Tech.

For eligibility, the candidates should have completed graduation for applying for the Masters program. For the Bachelor programs the candidates should have completed 12^th standard or equivalent with 60% aggregate.

The counseling for the courses will be conducted around the 2^nd week of July, 2010.
