ISMU 2010 MBA



The Indian School of Mines University or ISMU has announced admission for its MBA program. ISMU is one of the apex institutes in the country and it was established in the year 1926. At start the university offered engineering courses and as it was successful, in 1997 MBA courses were started and they were going very well. Now ISMU is one of the top institutes among the business schools in India.

Courses offered by ISMU are approved by AICTE and for admission into its MBA courses CAT scores it uses the CAT scores. The candidates who are selected by CAT score have to pass through a Group Discussion and Personal Interview for final selection. There are 62 seats in total for MBA admission.

A 3 year bachelor degree or equivalent from a reputed institute with 50% aggregate is essential for eligibility (45% for the SC/ST/Differently abled candidates.) A valid CGPA is also considered as eligibility. Final year graduates can also apply.

Application forms were made available from the month of October to December, 2009 and it can be obtained from the admission office of ISMU. It can also be obtained from ISMU by post by sending a DD in favor of ‘Registrar, ISM University,’ payable at Dhanbad for Rs.1500/- (Rs.750/- for reserved category students) along with a requisition letter. Applications can also be downloaded from the official website www.ismdhanbad.ac.in and it should be filled and sent with a demand draft. The last date for submission of completed application forms was in the first week of December, 2009. Courses started in early 2010.
