JECA 2010 MCA



JECA the West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam for MCA is an entrance exam for admission into various Government and Private colleges and universities in West Bengal. JECA is conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board. This entrance examination offers admission into all universities and colleges which are affiliated to the AICTE and offer the MCA course.

The JECA is conducted in 7 major cities across the country and they are Barddhaman, Durgapur, Krishnagar, Medinipur, Siliguri, Kolkata and Howrah. JECA is very famous in West Bengal and it is used by a large number of students to get admitted into top universities and colleges.

For eligibility the applying candidate should have a bachelor’s degree with Maths or Statistics as one of the subjects. Final year graduates are eligible to apply. Applications can be obtained directly from the admission office or by post from the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board by sending a requisition and demand draft.

Application forms will be available from 5th to 30th April, 2010 and the last date of receipt of completed application forms would be 12th of May, 2010. Date of entrance examination is on 6th June, 2010.

JECA has 2 parts and Part A is an Aptitude test for 100 marks and the duration is for 1 hour. Part B is Mathematics for 100 marks and the duration is 1 ½ hours. Syllabus for exam will be Reasoning, Problem solving, Quantitative Comparison, Discrete Quantitative Analysis, Data Interpretation.
