JNU 2009 Jawaharlal Nehru University
Jawaharlal Nehru University which is named after the first prime minister of India is known to be one of the best Universities in the country for providing quality education. It has been ranked in the top 100 universities of the world for providing social and biological science courses. The university is situated in New Delhi and takes admission in various courses on the basis of the merit obtained by the candidate in the Entrance Exams.
Eligibility criteria:
- The candidate applying for International Studies, M.A, Language, Literature and Culture Studies must possess a minimum of 55% marks as aggregate in the qualifying examinations.
- The candidate applying for Social Sciences must possess a minimum of 55% marks as aggregate in the qualifying examinations.

Important Dates:
- Availability of Application forms : Feb/Mar, 2009
- Commencement of Entrance Exam : Mid of May, 2009
- Conduct of Interviews : 1st Week of Jul, 2009
- Result Declaration : Mid of Jul, 2009
Selection procedure:
- All the eligible candidates have to appear in the Entrance Exam.
- The candidates will be short-listed on the basis of the meri obtained by them in the Entrance Exam.
- The short-listed candidates will then have to appear in interview.
- The final selection list will be declared after the commencement of the interview completes.
