Joint Adviser, Planning Commission
The Planning Commission, under the Government of India is inviting applications to fill up the post of Joint Adviser (Minerals) by composite method. Selection for the post will be made by UPSC.
The scale of pay is Rs.37400-67000+8700 (Grade Pay).
The eligibility criterion is that officers must hold analogous posts on regular basis or must have 5 years regular service in posts in the scale of pay of Rs.12000-375-16500 or equivalent.
The qualifications required for the post are:
a.) Master’s Degree in Geology/Applied Geology or Degree in Mining Engineering/Mineral Engineering/ Metallurgical Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent.
b.) An experience of 12 years in research/ development/ planning/execution of projects/programmes in the exploitation and utilization of mineral resources.
The qualifications desirable are:
a.) Doctorate Degree in Geology/ Applied Geology or Master’s Degree in Mining Engineering/ Mineral Engineering/ Metallurgical Engineering or Master’s Degree in Business Administration.
b.) Knowledge of problems related to exploitation, conservation technology, environment management and control, trade and infrastructure development as applied to minerals, mineral- based industries and metallurgical industries.
c.) Experience of techno-economic evaluation of feasibility studies or detailed project reports.
d.) Familiarity with principles and/or policies of industrial licensing, foreign investment, collaboration etc.
The maximum age limit for the post is 56 years.
