K. J. Somaiya Institute of Management Studies & Research was established in 1981 and it is one of the top rated management schools in India. It is also recognized as the best management school by the management association of Mumbai. It is ISO 9001:2000 certified and accredited by the National Board of Accredtition (NBA). KJ SIMSR is part of Somaiya Vidyavihar, Mumbai. This institute conducts an entrance examination called SAT (Sowmya admission test) towards entry into Post Graduat3e Diploma in Retail management. It is 2 year coarse and it is recognized by the AICTE.

SIMSR SAT application forms were available in the website simsr.somaiya.edu and the candidate has to fill up the downloaded form and forward it to SIMSR along with a demand draft. The applications will be made available from the 4th week of April 2010. Entrance examination will be conducted along the 4th week of May 2010. Last date for the receipt of application would be 3rd week of May 2010. Around the 1st week of June 2010, the results will be announced. All the above dates were only tentative. The finalized dates will be posted in the official website of SAT.

You will be required to take besides SAT, a Group Discussion, Personal Interview, Written communication test and past record. All these will be assessed over a maximum score of 200 marks.
