K. J. Somaiya Institute of Management Studies & Research conducts the Entrance Test for admission of the students aspiring to do Management courses. The institute was established in 1981 and has been rated among the top of the Management Institutes in whole country. The institute is Situated in Vidyavihar, Mumbai and is ISO 9001:2000 certified. The institute has also received accreditation by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) for its various programs.

Available Courses :

The various Regular programs are available:

1) Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration (PGDBA)
2) Masters in Management Studies (MMS)
The various Part-Time programs are available:
1) Masters in Marketing Management (MMM)
2) Masters in Financial Management (MFM), Masters in Human Resource Development Management (MHRDM)
3) Masters in Information Management (MIM)

Eligibility Criteria :

1) The candidate should have a pass bachelor’s degree from any recognized University in any discipline with minimum of 50% marks.
2) For admission to PGDBA, the candidate must have given CAT (Common Entrance Test) conducted by IIM.
3) For admission to various part-time courses, the candidate must be a graduate with minimum of 2 years work experience in executive / supervisory position.

Admission Procedure :

1) For PGDBA :

a) The candidates are short-listed on the basis of the score obtained in CAT (Common Entrance Test) conducted by IIM.
b) After that, students are called for written communication test, group discussion and personal interview.
c) Students with work experience and good academic record will be given preference.

2) For MMS :

a) The admission is done on the basis of merit in Common Entrance Test (CET) and a Centralised Admission Procedure conducted by Directorate of Technical Education, Govt. of Maharashtra.

3) For Part-Time courses :

a) The admission is done through Online Admission test.
b) After that, candidates are called for group discussion and personal interview.
c) The final admission is done on the collective result of all the three parts conducted.

2. Last date of receipt of Application form : 31st Dec, 2008

3. Call for GD/PI : 3rd Week of Feb

4. Date of Final Result : Mid of April

5. Start of Session : 1st Week of July
