Applications have been invited to fill up one post of Legal Officer in the Legal and Treaties Division under the Ministry of External Affairs on a deputation basis. The deputation period will be initially of three years from amongst officers holding similar posts on a regular basis or officers with five years of regular service in the posts in the scale of 10000-325-15,200 (revised in pay band 3, 15,600-39,100 along with a grade pay of 6600), working in Central Government or for Armed Forces Personnel. The essential educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Law with a specialization in the area of International Law and/or International Relations or International Organisations from a recognized institution or its equivalent. Moreover the applicants need to possess 10 years’ experience in Legal Affairs, namely, Legal Practitioner or guiding research in International Law and/or in the law of International Organisations.
