Lucknow University hosts only 30 seats per year for admission. The Lucknow University hosts the entrance exam LUCSAT 2010 for admission into the MCA course. MCA course in Lucknow University is very popular and it is one of the well sought courses by students all over India.

The applying candidate should have passed B.Sc (Computer science/ Computer Application/ Information Technology) or BCA for a minimum of 3 years duration and with a aggregate mark percentage of 45% (40% for the SC/ST). It is essential that the student has studied mathematics at 12^th standard level.

Application forms for the LUCSAT can be downloaded from the official website www.lkouniv.ac.in/ Candidates should complete the application form and attach it with a demand draft, 2 photocopies of mark sheets, pass certificates and 2 self addressed envelopes and it should be sent to the Admissions Officer, Lucknow University.

Application forms will be available from June 1^st, 2010 and the last date for submission of completed forms would be 30^th June, 2010. Date of entrance examination would be on 11^th July, 2010.

The exam will be conducted for 90 minutes and it will comprise of 100 objective type questions. The paper will have two sessions as Part A and Part B. Part A will have 40 questions and it will cover subjects like Logical reasoning, Numerical Aptitude and English Comprehension while Part B will have 60 questions based on BCA/B.Sc (computer science) syllabus. There will be no negative marking for the exam.
