There are some vacancies in the library department of National Archives of India. Applications have been invited from eligible persons to fill up these positions for a period of two years for Repair and Binding of rare and important books and publications in the library of National Archives of India. The positions are purely on temporary basis. These posts are:

Ø Preservation Assistant.

Ø Helpers.

The number of posts of the position Preservation Assistant is 15 and the fixed payment will be Rs.12000 per month. The applicants should be 18 years old to apply for the post. The essential qualification required is minimum 10^th pass and trained in Archival Conservation. The candidates trained by the school of Archival Studies of National Archives of India and other related Institutions will be preferred more.

The fixed payment for the position Helpers will be Rs.7000 per month and the number of posts is 2. The educational qualification needed is minimum 8^th pass. The applicants trained in the field of conservation of documents would be desirable. The lower age limit is 18 years.

The Retired staff of National Archives of India in the field of conservation may also apply for both the posts. The selection process includes a practical test and interview by a selection committee. No TA will be paid to the candidates for attending the Test/Interview. The applications along with the attested copies of the Educational and Technical qualification Certificates must reach to the Director General of Archives, National Archives of India, Janpath, New Delhi.
