NCHMCT 2010 National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology



The National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology offers a Bachelor of Science course clubbed with Indira Gandhi National Open University. The 3 year program prepares the students with adequate knowledge, skills and attitude and enables them to efficiently discharge supervisory duties in Hospitality sector. The course also involves in-depth laboratory work for students to acquire knowledge and skills in the operational areas of Food Production, Food and Beverage Service, Front Office Operation and House Keeping and providing managerial inputs in Hotel Accountancy, Food Safety and Quality, Human Resource Management, Facility Planning, Financial Management, Strategic Management, Tourism Marketing and Tourism Management.

The minimum qualification for applying would be 12th standard pass and the age limit for General, OBC and physically handicapped would be 22 years as on 1/7/2010. For reservation candidates, the upper age limit is 25 years as on 1/7/2010.

The NCHMCT JEE 2010 Examination falls on 8th May, 2010 (2nd Saturday) 10.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. Application has to be downloaded from the council website www.nchmct.org now (end of February, 2010.) Results will be declared on the 1st and 2nd week of June 2010. The centralized counseling at New Delhi will be held on the 3rd week of June 2010. The academic courses will commence from the last week of July, 2010.

The application for JEE 2010, can be downloaded from the Council’s website and it should be filled and attached with a demand draft for Rs.950/- for General and OBC and Rs.500/- for the SC/ST/PH categories. The last date for sending downloaded application form is 12th April, 2010. Demand draft taken after 29th March, 2010 is invalid. The forwarding address is mentioned in the website.
