Newton International Fellowships 2010



Newton International Fellowships choose those candidates from all over the world who wants to become Post-Doctoral researchers and give them chance for continuing for 2 years at UK research Institutions. The Royal Academy of Engineering, British Academy and The Royal Society offered the scheme. The faculties covered by Newton fellowships are natural and social sciences, humanities as well as engineering.

50 fellowships of 2 years are granted each year and the selected candidates receive a fellowship of £24,000 as subsistence and £8,000 as research expenses per annum and £2,000 as relocation expenses. Those candidates who are continuing in research will be imparted 10 year follow-up and £6000 per year.

Eligibility Criteria:

The candidate is only applicable if he has completed his Ph.D. from a recognized institution. At the time of applying, the candidate should not have the citizenship of UK. The candidate is eligible if he doesn’t work in UK. The candidate should be holding a strong research project and a UK sponsor. Also, the candidate should not have more than one or more postdoctoral positions.
