The Reserve Bank of India has established the National Institute of Banking and Management in the year 1969 as an autonomous apex institution. The NIBM is affilitated to Pune University as the institute is situated in Pune. It is attached to the Faculty of Scientific and Industrial research, Pune University, under the Ministry of science and technology, Government of India.

NIBM is an apex institute for training, research and consultancy in the field of finance and banking. It uses CAT scoring to select the candidates for Personal Interview and General Discussion. Therefore is required for the candidates to obtain a CAT score.

The candidate is required to possess a 3 year bachelor course degree or equivalent with 50% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA. Final year graduates can also apply.

The application for the course will be available by the end of August, in NIBM. The application can be downloaded from www.nibmindia.org or it can be obtained by post by submitting a demand draft and requesting an application form.

Application forms will be available from August 2nd week-November End, 2009. Last date for submission of filled application form would be around the 1st week of December 2009. Group Discussion and Personal interview would be around the Middle of April 2010. The finalized dates will be posted in the official website of NIBM.

Candidates will be selected based on their CAT score, Personal Interview, Group Discussion, candidates’s academic record and work experience, etc.
