NIMHANS 2010 Medical
National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences invites application from the students who are highly interested in doing research based courses. Admissions in NIMHANS is granted on the basis of entrance test.
National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences is situated in Bangalore, Karnataka. The institute was established in 1925 and is funded by the Government of India and Government of Karnataka.

· Diploma in Neurological and Neuro surgical Nursing(DNN)
· Diploma in Psychiatric Nursing (DPN)
Post-Graduation Courses:
· M.Phil. in Neurophysiology
· M.Phil. in Biophysics
· MD Degree in Psychiatry
· Diploma in Psychiatry (DPM)
· M.Phil. in Neurosciences
· M.Sc. in Psychiatric Nursing
· M.Phil. in Mental Health & Social Psychology
· M.Phil. in Psychiatric Social Work
Application Forms Availability:
The application form are available only online and no other source is there to get the forms. They can be received on website www.nimhans.kar.nic.in .
The application fees for medical courses are Rs. 1000 for general category and Rs. 750 for reserved category.
Eligibility Criteria:
The candidates who wants to opt for medical courses must be below 32 years and must possess Bachelor degree from recognized university. The candidate should have obtained 55% (for reserved category 50%) aggregate marks in qualifying courses. The candidates can apply for more than 1 course at a time but cannot exceed four.
Significant Dates:
- Last date for Submission of Application Forms : 23rd November, 2009 (Online) and 28th November, 2009 (by Post).
- Date of commencement of Exam : 28th February, 2010
