NITIE stands for National Institute of Industrial Engineering. The institute is situated in the State of Maharashtra. The vision of the NITIE is “To be a leader in the knowledge led productivity movement.” The various academic programmes of the institution have been designed keeping in view the above mentioned vision of the institute.

Three types of programmes are being offered by the National Institute of Industrial Engineering. Those are Fellow programmes, Post Graduate programmes and Management development programmes. The programmes have been broken down bellow:

• UBP or unit based programmes have been designed to provide customised learning experiences.
• MDP or Management Development Programme has been designed to help existing managers.
• The Fellowship Programme has been designed to help the persons intending to do higher research in the field of management.
• PGDITM programme has been designed to combine the worlds of Management and Information Technology.
• PGDISEM programme has been designed to redefine the relationship between environment and business. It focuses on sustainable development.
• PGDIM and
• PGDIE programme focuses on the issues like Finance, IT and Systems, SCM, HR Management. PGDIE stands for Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Engineering.
