Orissa Joint Entrance Examination 2010



The Orissa Joint Entrance Examination is the one that provides admissions to all professional courses in Orissa. The university, located in Bhubaneswar conducts Bachelor’s as well as Management and Master’s degrees.

Minimum Eligibility Criteria

Bachelor’s Degrees:

- The minimum criterion is 12th pass for all the Bachelor’s courses. One can get into Hotel Management after clearing 12th in any discipline

- For BTech, Mathematics and Physics are compulsory subjects to have been studied

- Minimum 50% in Mathematics for Architecture

- Applicant wishing to apply for M.B.B.S/B.D.S should have studied Physics, Chemistry and Biology to be eligible and also have 50% aggregate in the Higher Secondary Exam. Their age should be between 17 to 25 years to apply

- Pharmacy aspirants should have an aggregate of minimum 60% in the 12th exams with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects

- Master’s Degrees:

Both the master’s degrees i.e. MBA and MCA require a graduation degree of minimum 3 years from a recognized university.

Dates to Remember

- March 2010, 3rd week; Sale of application forms

- April 2010, last week; Last date for applying to any of the courses

- May 2010; Orissa Joint Entrance Examination (JEE)
