PAM CAT 2010 MBA MCA



The PAM-CAT 2010 is conducted by the Punjabi University, Patiala on behalf of the Punjab Government for admission of students into MBA and MCA courses. The marks students get in this exam can be used in other colleges which are affiliated to the universities like Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar and Punjabi University, Patiala. There are 3 colleges of Guru Nanak Dev University, 9 colleges of Punjabi University and 37 colleges of Punjab Technical University offering MCA through PAM-CAT.

The courses available through this exam are MBA and MCA. In admission to these courses through PAM CAT, 85% of the seats are reserved to Punjab residents and 15% is allotted for the other state candidates. A valid Bachelors degree with 50% aggregate is essential for admission into these courses. The candidates are required to take a print out and send it along with a demand draft and other required attested documents.

The tentative date of entrance examination is on 3rd week of July, 2010 and the last date for receipt of completed application forms would be on the 1st week of July, 2010. Results will be declared in the last week of July, 2010. The examination will be in 2 parts and the 1st part will be of 135 minutes with 50 objective type questions from Mental and Numerical Ability, General Knowledge and General English categories. Paper 2 will have a choice between Mathematics or Computer Science. The 2nd paper will be for 45 minutes with 50 objective type questions.
