The Punjab Engineering College or the PEC is a reputed institute that offers job oriented professional courses to the interested candidates. PEC is a deemed university that conducts admission into its Post graduate courses for the session 2009-2010. It has state-of art facilities and excellent faculty to provide quality education to the aspiring candidates. The institute offers undergraduate and post graduate courses into the PEC every year as regular as well as part time courses.

The PEC admits candidates based on the merit the candidate obtains in AIEEE, conducted by the C.B.S.E every year. The candidate should have a qualified AIEEE rank, conducted by the C.B.S.E. He or she should have passed 12^th standard with 60% marks in aggregate. For the SC/ST/PD the cut of percentage is 55. The candidate should possess 15% of marks in AIEEE to qualify for admission into the courses. For the reserved category, it is 10%.

Application forms sale will commence from 4^th week of June, 2010. Last date for receipt of application form would be around the 3^rd week of July, 2010. AIEEE is conducted on 25^th of April, 2010.
