Applications are invited for admission to PhD programme for the session 2010-2011 by NIPGR under department of Biotechnology (Govt of India). It is an autonomous Research Institution which performs fundamental and applied research in the front line regions of plant biology.

Applicants must be MSc in Life Science or allied disciplines with 55% minimum marks with CSIR-UGC NET Exam passed/DBT-JRF/ICMR NET Exam for Junior Research Fellowship to conduct advanced researches in the front line areas of Plant biology like Computational Biology, Genome Analysis and Molecular Mapping, Molecular Mechanism of Abiotic Stress responses, Nutritional Genomics, Plant Development & Architecture, Plant Immunity, Transgenics for crop improvement etc.

Reservations will be on statutory norms.

Procedure of application:

1. A-4 size plain paper should be used for application.

2. Applicant’s name and Category are to be mentioned as per Senior Secondary School Certificate.

3. Each page of the applications should be signed by the candidate.

4. Completed application with DD of Rs.300/-in favour of Director, National Institute of Plant Research, payable at New Delhi. For ST/SC DD is of Rs.100/-

5. Attested copies of required documents with application must be sent.

6. Enclose 2 recent passport size photographs with application.

7. Documentary evidence for ST/SC/OBC (non-creamy layer) should be enclosed with application.
