PJET 2010



Puducherry Joint Entrance Test of PJET is conducted by the Central Admission Committee (CENTAC) for admission of students who aspire for bachelor and masters degrees in the field of Engineering, Medical, Law and Dental. Admission into B.Tech course is not through PJET but through the marks obtained in Physics, Mathematics and optional subjects. Nearly 450 seats are available in Pondicherry Engineering College for admission and nearly 180 seats in Perunthalaivar Kamarajar institute of Engineering and Technology for admission. 85% of the seats are reserved for Pondicherry domiciles while the rest of 15% is for the other state candidates.

The courses offered are B.Tech, B.D.S, B.V.Sc. & A.H, B.Sc. (Agri.), B.Pharm, B.Sc. (Nursing), B.P.T, B.Sc.(MLT), M.B.B.S and LL.B.

For eligibility the applying candidate should have passed 12th standard with a minimum of 45% aggregate in Mathematics, Physics and any one of the optional subjects from a reputed board like Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Computer Science/Biology. Candidates can make a maximum of 2 attempts for CENTAC JET.

Application forms are available from 30th of April, 2010 and the last date for submitting the completed application forms would be 18th June, 2010.

Application forms were made available from PEC Head Post Offices in Puducherry. Alternatively they can also be downloaded from Pondicherry Joint Entrance Test official website for PJET. Exams can be written in 4 major cities like Puducherry, Karaikal, Mahe and Yanam.
