The Division of Post Harvest Technology under Indian Agricultural Research Institute has invited applications from the eligible candidates to fill up one post of Post Doctoral Fellow. The position is purely contractual on temporary basis at this Research Institute. The place of posting will be New Delhi. The selected candidate will have to carry out research in the area of “Design, development and evaluation of packaging materials for Food Commodities”.

The educational qualification required to apply for the post is Ph.D. in Post Harvest Technology / Food Technology / Agricultural and Engineering / Plant Biology with specialization in Post Harvest Technology. The applicants having experience in research/teaching in the area of Food Packaging will be preferred more.

The amount of Fellowship (Consolidated) will be Rs.18,000 + HRA as applicable under rules per month. The period of deputation of Post Doctoral Fellow will be initially for a period of two years. But the period of engagement may be extendable only up to the XIth Plan period i.e. up to 31.3.2012.

Officers of the Central/State Governments holding analogous post on regular basis may apply for the position through proper channel.
