The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, an autonomous organization under Ministry of HRD Department of School Education & Literacy is inviting applications to fill up the posts of Principals in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas which are co-educational residential schools.

The number of posts is 15 and the pay band is Rs.15600-39100 with Grade Pay of Rs.7600/-. All the 15 posts are under reserved category (SC-2, ST-13).

The essential qualifications required for the post are:

a.) Master’s Degree from a recognized University with at least 50% marks.

b.) B.Ed or equivalent teaching degree.

The desirable qualifications and experiences are:

a.) An experience of at least 3 years as a House Master of a fully residential school.

b.) Experience of working in a fully residential/CBSE affiliated/ Government recognized school.

c.) Proficiency in English and Hindi/ concerned regional language.

The age limit is between 35 to 45 years. As per Government of India rules, relaxation in upper age limit will be admissible.

Selected candidates are likely to be posted/transferred to any Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya in the country.
