Punjabi University Patiala 2010 B.Tech



One of the best universities of Punjab, the Punjab University, was established in the year 1962 with an aim to promote resident talent of Punjab for the growth of the state. The university provides many courses in the engineering field and is very well known for its B.Tech course.

As is with all engineering colleges, admissions are on the basis of a written entrance test.

Application Forms

Application forms for 2010 B.Tech can be downloaded from the university’s website, www.punjabiuniversity.ac.in. Another option is to get by post. This can be done by sending a written request. One can also be collected from the Punjab University’s Patiala campus.

1. Mechanical Engineering- 30 seats

2. Computer Engineering- 30 seats

3. Electronics & Communication Engineering- 30 seats

Examination Pattern:

The duration of the entrance examination for B.Tech is generally 3 hours. In this time the students have to answer 300 objective type questions divided into 4 categories:

General knowledge & Current Affairs – 100 marks

Aptitude for Law – 100 marks

General English – 50 marks

Mental ability – 50 marks
