Departments of General Surgery & Physiology under the Dept of Medical & Research, Government Medical College and Hospital is inviting applications for the post of Reader in each of the two mentioned Departments on deputation basis.

The PB is Rs.16350-450-18600-500-20100/- plus NPA (with allowances for UT Govt employees) Rs.37400-67000/- plus Rs.8900/- (revised)

Eligibility: Officers of the State/Central Govts/Statutory Bodies/Research Institutions/UT/Autonomous Bodies:

(i) Holding analogous posts on regular basis. Or,

(ii) With regular service of 2 years in the grade in the unrevised PB of Rs.14300-18300/- or equal.

Essentials: Reader (General Surgery)

(i) Essential University/equal qualification containing in any schedules of the Indian Medical Council Act 1956 (102 of 1956) & registered in a State Medical Register/Indian Medical Register.

(ii) M.S (General Surgery/Surgery) under any reputed Institution/University/equal.

(iii) Teaching experience of 5 years as Assistant Professor/Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in a reputed Teaching Institution/Medical College.

Essentials: Reader (Physiology):

(i) Same as above.

(ii) MBBS with M.Sc in Physiology/M.D (Physiology)/M.Sc in Medical Physiology/PhD in Medical Physiology/D.Sc in Medical Physiology under any reputed Institution/University/equal.

(iii) Same as above.

Desirable for both the posts: Research Publications of 4 years indexed in National Journals/Index Medicus.

The deputation period for Reader (General Surgery) is 5 years while that of Physiology is 6 years.

The maximum age limit is 56 years.
