Applications have been invited by the Union Public Service Commission to fill up the following posts of Scientific Officers in the Defence Ministry of India. The descriptions of the posts have been given below:

1. One senior Scientific Officer, Gr.II (Chemical) in the Directorate General of Aeronautical Quality Assurance, Ministry of Defence.
2. Three senior Scientific Officers, Gr.II (Computer Engineering) in the Directorate General of Aeronautical Quality Assurance, Ministry of Defence.
3. Eight senior Scientific Officers, Gr.II (Mechanical) in the Directorate General of Aeronautical Quality Assurance, Ministry of Defence.
4. Three senior Scientific Officers, Gr.II (Electrical) in the Directorate General of Aeronautical Quality Assurance, Ministry of Defence.

Some important information:

1. • For the post no.1 the required educational qualification is Master’s degree in Science with Chemistry as a special subject or Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from any recognized university or its equivalent.
   • For the post no.2 the required educational qualification is Master’s degree in Electronics/Computer Science/Physics with Computer Science from any recognized university or its equivalent. Moreover Bachelor’s degree in Electronics/Computer engineering from any recognized university or its equivalent will also be considered.
   • For the post no.3 the required educational qualification is Degree in Mechanical Engineering from any recognized university or its equivalent.
   • For the post no.4 the required educational qualification is Degree in Electrical Engineering from any recognized university or its equivalent.

The last date of receiving completely filed in applications forms is 28^th January. 2010. But for some remote areas the last date is extended to 4^th February, 2010.
