Ministry of Earth Sciences has invited applications from Indian citizens for filling up one post on deputation basis. The name of the position is Scientist ‘G’ in the Pay Scale of PB-4 Rs.37400-67000 + 10000 (Grade Pay). The Class of the post is Group ‘A’ Gazetted and the upper age limit is 50 years.

The essential qualification required for the post is M.Sc. in Physics/Geophysics /Atmospheric Sciences/Meteorology with first class (60%) and Degree in Engineering /Technology from a recognized university. The candidates should have 20 years with Ph.D. and experience in teaching or research and development in the fields of Atmospheric Sciences or Seismology or Meteorology. The applicants having Masters Degree in Engineering /Technology or Doctorate in any branch of Science with experience in projects in the field of Atmospheric Sciences will be preferred more.

Officers of the Central/State Governments or any other Organization holding analogous post on a regular basis or with five years experience on regular service in the Pay Scale Rs.16400-20000 or equivalent also may apply for the post through proper channel.
