Cabinet Secretariat under Govt of India is inviting application from eligible Central Government employees for filling up the post of Senior Librarian & Information Officer (Group-A, Gazetted) on deputation basis.

The scale of pay for the post is Rs.12000-16500/-(pre-revised) Rs.15600-39100/-(PB-3, revised) with Rs.7600/- as GP and the number of post is one.

Eligibility for the post:

The candidate must be an officer of Central Govt holding analogous posts on regular basis along with regular service of 5 years in the PB Rs.10000-15200/0(pre-revised) or equal.

Educational qualification:

(a) Master’s Degree from any of the recognised Universities.

(b) Master’s Degree in Library Science from any renowned University/Institute or equal.

(c) Professional experience of 7 years in administering library.

Desirable: Candidates with an experience in computerising library affairs and library networking also with professional experience of particular subject held by Department or Ministries are preferred.

The maximum age limit is 56 years.

The period of deputation shall not exceed three years.
